When Earth Talks

Sound Installation | Medium: Bone Conductor Transducers, wood, sound (real-time audio streaming), multichannel audio system

"When Earth Talks" explores the intricate relationship between sounds and the objects/materials that amplify them. The bone conductor transducers embedded in the wooden structure emit sounds sourced from four distinct locations: Kruger National Park in Africa, New Orleans, Chicago, and The Western Wall in Jerusalem. Wooden beams protrude from the ground and walls in various directions, indicating the directionality of each location. As listeners move through the space, they encounter sounds resonating from these objects in real time, each offering unique tonal qualities that vary in intensity depending on the listener's position.
