As it wEre

Sound Visualization of Mesostics (Medium: Arduino, LCD Display, Sound)

"As it wEre" is audio-visual installation inspired by John Cage’s mesostic performance work, “What You Say." In a mesostic, vertical text intersects the middle lines of horizontal text, forming an acrostic poem. This unique composition results in capital letters aligned vertically, creating empty spaces between lines. "As it wEre" explores these spaces, or visual silences, which constantly rupture and flow, creating intriguing sonic and visual patterns within both written and spoken words.
